Your Building, Your Choice!
For this workshop, Cindy will demonstrate her techniques using a weathered red country barn nestled within a rural landscape, exploring how perspective, colour, light, shadow, and carefully placed glass create depth, texture, and dimension.
Each participant will receive Cindy's red barn reference image and printable pattern to use for their project.
Would you prefer to create your own building and landscape?
You're welcome to work from a favourite photograph or another architectural scene that inspires you!
Whether it's a charming country cottage, an old farmhouse, a historic building, or a modern structure, simply share your chosen image with Cindy beforehand so she can confirm it's suitable for the workshop.
The goal isn't to create identical mosaics, but to learn techniques you can apply to your own artwork.

Glass-on-Glass (GOG)
Glass-on-Glass (GOG)
This workshop focuses on the Glass-on-Glass (GOG) mosaic technique.
You'll create a building and its surrounding landscape on clear glass, allowing natural light to pass through the finished piece and beautifully illuminate the colours of the stained glass.
Cindy will demonstrate her approach to creating architectural details, including rooflines, windows, doors, and weathered surfaces, while exploring perspective, glass selection, directional placement, light, shadow, and colour values.
You'll learn how to bring buildings and landscapes together into a cohesive composition filled with depth, texture, and dimension.
Who Is This Workshop For?

A Personal Note
One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is watching a mosaic come to life—not just my own, but yours as well.
During this workshop, we won't simply be assembling pieces of glass. We'll learn how to observe, interpret, and make artistic decisions that transform a photograph into an expressive mosaic.
Throughout the workshop, I'll demonstrate my approach to bringing buildings and their surrounding landscapes to life in glass. We'll explore perspective, architectural details, light, shadow, texture, and colour while I share techniques I've developed through more than twenty years of creating Glass-on-Glass mosaics.
Whether you're following my rustic red barn design or creating a building and landscape of your own, I look forward to helping you bring your artistic vision to life.
I look forward to creating with you!
